In addition to raw parallelism, the SCC incorporates fine-grain power management features that allow software applications to determine how much energy is needed at a given time and for a given Electronics Wholesaler task. The 48 cores require just 25 watts in idle mode or 125 watts when running at maximum performance, which is comparable to the consumption of two standard household light bulbs.
